VIN Hydroxypropyl Beta Cyclodextrin Inclusion Complex |
Vincamine (VIN) belongs to the class of white alkaloids in monoterpenoid alkaloids and can be isolated from small vinca and olivine. Vincamine has the effects of lowering blood sugar, protecting the liver, fighting against tumors and preventing cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases. At present, VIN is used as a tablet or sustained release capsule, but its complex chemical structure and lipophilic nature result in low water solubility and poor oral bioavailability, which greatly limits its clinical application. Through experiments, when VIN forms an inclusion complex with hydroxypropyl-beta-cyclodextrin , its water solubility increases from 0.04 mg/mL to 16.5 mg/mL, and the thermal decomposition temperature of VIN increases from 240.5¡æ to 306.1¡æ. Thermal stability is significantly improved. |
